Meet Artist Devon Bernard
We caught up with artist Devon Bernard from Prince Edward Island to learn more
about his art, inspiration and photographing the Island.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
I’m 26 years old and I am from Prince Edward Island,
Canada. I grew up on the western part of the island in a small community called
Pleasant View. I now live in Cascumpec with my wife Kalyn and daughter Adeline.
I am the welding instructor at Holland College, and I really enjoy my job. I love
being outdoors, exercising and photography.
When did you first find a passion for photography and what inspires your
work?
I started my photography journey two years ago. I wasn’t consistent at the time
and couldn’t find what I loved to photograph. In the summer of 2020, I began to
capture and document the beauty of Prince Edward Island. I quickly fell in love
with showcasing the island because it allowed me to be creative and adventure.
Getting out and exploring the island inspires my work the most. I love telling a
story about the island through my photos.

What other East Coast creator(s) inspire your work?

What does "the spirit of the East Coast" mean to you?
